All About Nokia Nseries Devices

Nokia N70 was the first Nseries device launched in 2005 and it was the smallest Series 60 handset with the most built-in memory at that time. Since then Nokia has launched 15 more Nseries devices with smarter features and specifications. These devices are considered as the most revolutionalizing mobile devices ever released as they have changed the way people communicate with each other.
Nokia Nseries devices are based on the Symbian OS and the Series 60 platform. Symbian OS is an operating system designed for mobile devices by Symbian Ltd., a company based in UK and jointly owned by Nokia, Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, Panasonic, Siemens and Samsung. S60 Platform is a software platform for Nokia mobile phones that runs on Symbian OS. It is currently amongst the leading Smartphone platforms in the world and supports multi-tasking, installation of third party applications and many other smart features. To date there have been three releases of the S60 platform:
Series 60 released in 2001
Series 60 Second Edition released in 2004 and
Series 60 3rd Edition released in 2005
According to Wikipedia, Nokia Nseries is a product family consisting of multimedia computers. These are convergence mobile devices supporting digital multimedia services such as music playback, video capture, photography, mobile gaming and Internet services. All Nseries devices also support high-speed wireless technologies such as 3G, HSDPA, or Wireless LAN.
Devices like N70, N73, N93, and N95 have captured the world by surprise as Nokia has managed to offer an exciting array of smart features that have never been offered in any mobile devices before. Nokia’s latest Series 60 devices such as the Nokia N95 are also being considered as a threat to Personal Computers and Laptops as they enable a user to do almost everything that one can do with a Laptop or a Personal computer.
Another interesting thing about Series 60 devices is their support for an extensive range of third party tools, applications, games and software. There are thousands of freeware and shareware applications from hundreds of third party developers that are available on sites like Nclubsoft.com and Youpark.com. Users can easily browse, purchase and install third party applications on their phones. These applications include popular utilities like Advanced Device Locks, business tools like Advanced Call Manager, Entertainment applications like Facewarp, dictionaries like MSDict Concise Oxford Dictionaries, Localization tools like Universal Currency Converter and many more.
