The New Iphone is called the iPhone killer for a reason. Nokia is much more than a cheap copy of the iPhone. Nokia have really have made an big effort to compete against the iPhone with the Nokia 5800.

It’s true that iPhone is a very good phone and that they somewhat created a whole new market for themselves. However Nokia is a big player on the market and they have had some time to create their new nokia 5800.

The price is also a big issue. The nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be cheaper. The iPhone is an expensive phone and if Nokia can compete with the price they can find new shares of the market.

The ones that already have bought an iPhone won’t probably change for a similar phone by Nokia so you have to target other customers. There can even be an idea to lower the price significantly just to take as many shares of this market as they can with this first Nokia model to earn more on the following models when customers become lojal to the brand.

One of the news in the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is the new handwriting feature. If it works properly it should make it easier to write shorter messages. You should also be able to have pictures of 4 friends on the front of the phone just to make it easier to contact those you call a lot. I really great thing by Nokia since there always are a few friends or girlfriend that you call much more often than others.

Unlike the iPhone the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic should be able to record video. I just don’t understand why the iPhone don’t have this feature. With the Nokia 5800 you should also be able to have video calls with your friends.

The Nokia 5800 is able to send MMS. I guess the fact that the iPhone can’t send MMS is a big issue for some people. Another thing I don’t understand why they didn’t include. The Nokia 5800 has GPS unlike the iPhone. The new models of the iPhone comes with a GPS but not the older ones.

As a conclusion the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic seems at least as good as the iPhone. But it’s hard to do a final judgement until you have tried it for yourself. Although I’m sure it will be a great phone.
